Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous experience as a chef or line cook in a restaurant
  • ability to work in a fast-paced and mobile environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • willingness to travel up to 100% of the time
  • pre-employment background and drug screening
  • compliance with safety-sensitive position regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in a restaurant as a chef/line cook
  • high school diploma or GED
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers
  • assist with all phases of meal preparations
  • wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards
  • complete all end-point duties
  • assist with loading, unloading, and verification of food and service products
  • manage pantry and supply inventories
  • maintain cleanliness of the dining car lower level
