Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Physical capability to handle kitchen demands
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or kitchen manager in a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to plan menus and manage budgets effectively
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure food safety and quality standards
  • Plan menus and prepare budgets for the kitchen department
  • Maintain accurate payroll, food cost, and other operational records
  • Train and supervise culinary staff in cooking methods, presentation, and portion control
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with owners and directors on equipment repair and maintenance
  • Develop and implement food preparation standards and quality control measures
