Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef, cook, or in food service (healthcare or residential setting preferred)
  • knowledge of nutrition and ability to adapt meals for dietary needs
  • strong organizational and time-management skills
  • must be dependable, punctual, and committed to consistency in food preparation
  • ServSafe Manager Certification is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Loves God and people
  • experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • basic English reading and communication skills
  • ServSafe Manager Certification is a plus
  • Culinary Arts degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, and serve three meals per day for residents
  • prepare and package food in advance for weekend needs
  • maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards
  • monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage storage
  • accommodate dietary restrictions and special meal requests as needed
  • work collaboratively with staff to support resident care
  • supervise HCF staff and kitchen volunteers to prepare and serve meals
