Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in kitchen management or food service leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
- Capable of lifting over 50 pounds regularly
- Valid driver’s license for travel needs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven leadership experience in a kitchen or restaurant management role
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations including HACCP
- Ability to manage budgets and cost controls
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with staff development and training
- Proficient in using numeric data for business decisions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory and menu management
- Customer service-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Manage the primary responsibility of all back of house operations including quality, food production, inventory, food ordering, housekeeping, and menu management
- Assist in developing overall strategy for the unit to meet business objectives and develop employees
- Make business decisions using numeric reasoning understanding multiple business outcomes
- Manage the unit in the general manager’s absence
- Manage highest standards of customer service through effective coaching
- Communicate and follow up on unit objectives with all staff
- Maintain a sales-based focus proactively seeking out sales opportunities
- Manage highest quality standards to ensure a safe working environment including zero deviation from HACCP and Board of Health
- Develop assistant management to effectively manage sales, costs, quality, and people basics
- Recruit, develop, and retain skilled staff
- Develop all staff to prepare them for future positions
- Implement strategic initiatives creatively in the unit
- Appropriately schedule staff for forecasted sales
- Audit internal processes and adjust to meet operational goals
- Manage employee relations for a harmonious work environment
- Support Division General Manager in communication and business operations
- Fill in wherever necessary to accelerate service
- Make deposits at the bank
