Job Requirements

  • Graduate of a reputable culinary school
  • ServSafe Food Service Manager certification or willingness to obtain within three months
  • ServSafe Allergen certification or willingness to obtain within three months
  • Minimum of two years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques including cooking baking and presentation

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning food preparation and food service
  • Lead mentor and develop a high-performing culinary team
  • Develop and implement creative and appealing menus that meet dietary needs and preferences of residents
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment ensuring adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Manage food inventory place orders and control food costs
  • Interact with residents to ensure their satisfaction with meal service and address dietary concerns promptly
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments including dining services nursing and resident services
