Job Duties
- Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of items that require skillful preparation
- evaluates food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained
- follows the weekly posted menus
- interacts with the Culinary Experience Director to ensure that food preparation consistently exceeds the expectations of residents and family members
- adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation, which help to ensure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs
- consults with the Culinary Experience Director as it relates to food production and special events being planned
- adheres to the planned and posted cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
- communicates and connects with residents to learn their dining tastes and preferences and ensure the residents are satisfied
- other duties as assigned
