- MN Food Safety-Sanitation Certification or Certified Food Protection Manager issued by the State of Minnesota within 90 days

- Vocational school technical training or associate degree in food service preferred
- 1 - 3 years experience preferred
- Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook foods to specified temperatures, ensuring quality and consistency
- Follow standardized recipes
- weigh, measure, and portion ingredients accurately
- Assemble meals and bakery items within required timeframes
- Complete daily preparation sheets and assist with special events
- Provide timely production and meal service
- Handle and prepare food in compliance with infection control and safety policies
- Monitor and document food temperatures
- adjust as needed to meet standards
- Practice proper handwashing, glove use, and personal hygiene
- Adhere to department dress codes and employee health guidelines
- Label and date all food items appropriately
- Maintain a clean work area with a clean as you go approach
- Sanitize equipment and workspaces after each use or per routine schedules
- Use equipment and chemicals according to manufacturer recommendations
- Keep clean and dirty areas separate
- wash pots and pans in the 3-compartment sink
- Supervise kitchen staff and oversee daily operations in the supervisor's absence
- Provide resident and guest customer service when the supervisor is unavailable
- Communicate feedback from residents/guests regarding meal quality and service
