Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a chef or cook preferred
  • strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • ability to work weekends
  • physical stamina for kitchen work
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • basic math skills for measuring ingredients

Job Qualifications

  • experience in culinary arts or related field
  • knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment such as food processor, dishwasher, convection oven
  • good communication skills
  • teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • attention to detail in food preparation and presentation

Job Duties

  • maintains a working knowledge of culinary methods as related to ingredient preparation and recipe execution
  • assists executive chef with meal preparation as assigned
  • may assist in procurement of food inventory and supplies
  • properly labels and stores food items in accordance with safe storage standards
  • understands the operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • maintains a clean and sanitary work environment
  • responsible for creation and preparation of baked food items, breads, desserts
  • performs scheduled cleaning of equipment and work according to schedule as planned by the executive chef
