Job Duties

  • assist g.m. in maintaining all company standards and s.o.p.s
  • lead kitchen team
  • know all menus, specific dishes, portionings, ingredients, and cooking methods
  • assist in all areas of the kitchen
  • maintain food quality and safety to company and health code standards
  • run the line for effectiveness and efficiency
  • provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members
  • train all kitchen staff through methodical training procedures
  • oversee and organize all areas of the kitchen
  • ensure first-in, first-out food rotation system
  • prep and stock cooking stations
  • supervise food preparation and presentation
  • verify food storage standards
  • order, stock, and inventory food products and supplies
  • coordinate with restaurant management on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency
