Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year of food service experience required three years preferred
- food handler's permit as required by state
- first aid certification required
- must be 18 years or older
- compassion for and desire to work with older adults
- strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure

Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements
- ensure food is safely stored, cooked, and served at proper temperatures
- maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment, including all equipment and prep areas
- assist in training and mentoring culinary staff
- monitor and respond to resident preferences and satisfaction
- uphold safety and health standards, including food safety compliance
- foster teamwork and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
- report any elder maltreatment or abuse as required
- perform other duties as assigned
