Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Immediate knowledge of cooking principles
  • Visible supervisory skills including cost control and delegation
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting over 20 pounds and working in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to handle noisy environments and repetitive movements such as bending, stooping, squatting, or kneeling

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of cooking principles and supervisory skills such as cost control and delegation

Job Duties

  • Assist preparing various foods
  • Restock and pick list
  • Clean and sanitize work area
  • Oversee all cooking procedures, finished product and portion control
  • Loading, lifting, bending, turning, reaching, handling, twisting, rolling, pushing, sterilization of knives and all equipment (steamers, ovens, registers, etc.)
  • Manage daily interruptions including equipment/environmental noise, telephone/alarms/timers, co-workers/guest interaction
  • Responsible for managing all food production operations
  • Relieve when manager is absent
