  • Prior culinary or kitchen experience
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work full time
  • Good physical stamina for kitchen work
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness

Job Duties

  • Maintain a working knowledge of culinary methods related to ingredient preparation and recipe execution
  • Assist Executive Chef with meal preparation as assigned
  • Assist in procurement of food inventory and supplies
  • Properly label and store food items according to safe storage standards
  • Understand operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment such as food processor, dishwasher, and convection oven
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment including floors
  • Create and prepare baked food items, breads, and desserts
  • Perform scheduled cleaning of equipment according to Executive Chef's plan
