Job Requirements

  • Must have prior culinary experience
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday including evening shifts and occasional weekends
  • Must be able to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to comply with all safety and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Prior culinary experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience managing kitchen staff and operations
  • Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Effective communication and team leadership abilities
  • Culinary education or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises cooks and other food-service associates engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
  • ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • Supervises hourly kitchen staff including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling and recommending disciplinary actions
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintaining proper serving temperatures
  • Tracks food use, waste and consumption to requisition or purchase product
  • Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
  • Helps select and develop recipes and menus
  • Performs other duties as assigned
