Job Requirements
- Must have prior culinary experience
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday including evening shifts and occasional weekends
- Must be able to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to comply with all safety and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- Prior culinary experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience managing kitchen staff and operations
- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Effective communication and team leadership abilities
- Culinary education or relevant certification preferred
Job Duties
- Supervises cooks and other food-service associates engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
- ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
- Supervises hourly kitchen staff including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling and recommending disciplinary actions
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintaining proper serving temperatures
- Tracks food use, waste and consumption to requisition or purchase product
- Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity to maintain appropriate inventory
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
- Helps select and develop recipes and menus
- Performs other duties as assigned
