Job Requirements

  • at least one year of closely related kitchen experience
  • demonstrated experience in food prep
  • working knowledge of HACCP standards
  • proficiency in a range of cooking methods including soup-making, sauteing, broiling, frying, and pantry tasks
  • skill in interpreting, comprehending, and following instructions and guidelines
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
  • physically capable of handling weights up to 40 pounds
  • able to perform activities requiring bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
  • comfort working in high-temperature environments

Job Duties

  • create a selection of meals encompassing soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts by adhering to specific recipes and product instructions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and presenting
  • preserve uniformity and high quality by sampling dishes, adhering to standard menus, and accurately predicting food quantities
  • maintain precise production documentation and request necessary supplies and culinary tools as required
  • enforce excellent food safety and sanitation procedures that align with HACCP standards, emphasizing the significance of a sanitary workspace
  • employing a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, including slicers, mixers, grills, fryers, and ovens
  • properly determine quantities, mix, wash, peel, slice, and grate components when readying meals
  • monitor and control the amount of stock, categorize items based on their expiration dates, and systematically rotate food inventory to sustain the quality and freshness of the products
