Job Requirements
- Available two to four days per week including one or both weekend days
- Able to progress to opening shift at 5 AM or cut prep shift at 6 AM
- Seeking long-term employment with minimum one-year commitment
- Experience in food preparation especially cutting meat and vegetables
- Experience in Japanese food industry or kitchen setting
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED minimum
- Food Handler Certificate must be obtained before starting
- Two years cooking experience
- One year prep work experience cutting meat and vegetables
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced kitchen
- Commitment to at least one year of employment
- Interest in Japanese food and culture
- Preferred customer service experience of two years
- Preferred liquor license eligibility
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Preference for non-students
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for ramen and side dishes
- Assemble menu items according to precise recipes
- Support both back-of-house and front-of-house operations as needed including dishwashing, cleaning, serving, taking orders, and answering phone calls
- Ensure quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen
- Assist in inventory control to minimize waste and ensure proper ingredient stock levels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
