Job Requirements

  • Available two to four days per week including one or both weekend days
  • Able to progress to opening shift at 5 AM or cut prep shift at 6 AM
  • Seeking long-term employment with minimum one-year commitment
  • Experience in food preparation especially cutting meat and vegetables
  • Experience in Japanese food industry or kitchen setting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED minimum
  • Food Handler Certificate must be obtained before starting
  • Two years cooking experience
  • One year prep work experience cutting meat and vegetables
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Commitment to at least one year of employment
  • Interest in Japanese food and culture
  • Preferred customer service experience of two years
  • Preferred liquor license eligibility
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
  • Preference for non-students

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for ramen and side dishes
  • Assemble menu items according to precise recipes
  • Support both back-of-house and front-of-house operations as needed including dishwashing, cleaning, serving, taking orders, and answering phone calls
  • Ensure quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen
  • Assist in inventory control to minimize waste and ensure proper ingredient stock levels
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
