Job Requirements

  • Be able to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to travel to manage and execute offsite catering events
  • Capability to reach, bend, stoop and lift products and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexibility to travel for meetings, training, and walk-throughs
  • Comfortable working with workplace hazards such as hot equipment, knives, and potentially slippery surfaces

Job Qualifications

  • College or culinary degree and/or comparable professional kitchen experience
  • Minimum three years in catering and/or banquet services supervisory role
  • Minimum five years in food preparation supervisory position
  • Strong finance skills including budgeting and cost management
  • Proficient with POS systems, accounting and invoicing software, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and electronic order entry
  • ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Report directly to and collaborate with the General Manager
  • Ensure all food and products are prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
  • Manage large volume smoking/BBQ kitchen operations
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, quality, service, and sanitation through employee training and positive work environment
  • Control food costs and kitchen labor budgets
  • Make employment and termination decisions per guidelines
  • Maintain kitchen equipment cleanliness and functionality
  • Oversee labor budget and scheduling to meet staffing and cost objectives
