Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- two-year college or technical school degree preferred
- one year of kitchen experience preferred
- valid Food Handler's Permit
- ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
- reliability and positive attitude
- ability to handle conflicts professionally
- willingness to accept constructive feedback and work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- two-year college or technical school degree preferred
- one year of kitchen experience preferred
- current Food Handler's Permit
- wide range of knowledge in food, ingredients, knife skills, and cooking techniques
- ability to read and follow a recipe
- basic math skills to double or half a recipe
- ability to interpret policies and procedures

- solid communication skills including verbal and listening
- ability to professionally handle conflict

Job Duties
- Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
- ensure the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides
- maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen
- confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets company standards for appearance
- deliver excellent customer service to all customers
- prepare all chef-prepared items in the kitchen including salads, entrees, soups, hot case items following recipes
- prepare food for special orders and events
- receive and stock product
- train prep cooks
- assist as needed to ensure the success of the kitchen as a whole
