Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a chef or cook
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks under extreme pressure
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
  • Have Food Handlers Card
  • Taking leadership and providing direction as needed
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to independently follow directions

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of culinary techniques

  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations and have Food Handlers Card
  • Taking leadership and providing direction as needed of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to take and provide direction and work independently with those directions
  • Knowledge of baking and pastry techniques preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts and appetizers
  • Follow specific recipes as directed by Lead Chef
  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Ensure appealing presentation
  • Check freshness of food for proper food storage and rotation
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • Create prep lists
