Job Requirements

  • proven work experience as a chef or cook
  • hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
  • knowledge of culinary techniques
  • ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks under extreme pressure
  • excellent time management abilities
  • up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • familiarity with sanitation regulations and have Food Handlers Card

  • taking leadership and providing direction as needed of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties
  • attention to detail
  • ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment
  • ability to take and provide direction and work independently with those directions
  • knowledge of baking and pastry techniques

Job Duties

  • preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts and appetizers
  • veggie prep, grilling, roasting, soups, stocks, baking
  • follows specific recipes as directed by Lead Chef
  • cook food in a timely manner
  • ensure appealing presentation
  • check freshness of food for proper food storage and rotation
  • experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • create prep lists
