Job Duties
- Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen and food production associates
- Supervises activities of cooks and other kitchen staff engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
- Ensures compliance with food handling, sanitation and customer service standards
- Manages interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training and performance reviews of hourly kitchen associates
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
- Oversees proper food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
- Tracks food usage, waste and inventory management
- Receives and inspects food products and supplies for quality and quantity
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Cleans workstations and display equipment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation
- Assists in selecting and developing recipes and menus
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
