Job Duties

  • Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen and food production associates
  • Supervises activities of cooks and other kitchen staff engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
  • Ensures compliance with food handling, sanitation and customer service standards
  • Manages interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training and performance reviews of hourly kitchen associates
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • Oversees proper food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Tracks food usage, waste and inventory management
  • Receives and inspects food products and supplies for quality and quantity
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Cleans workstations and display equipment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation
  • Assists in selecting and developing recipes and menus
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed
