Job Description

Welcome Group, Inc. is an independent franchisee operating a hotel under the Marriott brand, managing all aspects of hotel employment policies and practices separately from Marriott International, Inc. This ensures a localized and customized approach to hotel management, employment relations, and guest service excellence. Job Requirements

  • high school education
  • degree in culinary arts or related major
  • five or more years of kitchen management experience
  • alcohol awareness certification preferred
  • knowledge of accounting and budgeting
  • leadership skills
  • communication skills
  • computer proficiency
  • ability to travel
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling
  • legal eligibility for employment

Job Duties

  • Direct and ensure kitchen standards and procedures are followed
  • manage kitchen staff schedules and department budget
  • respond timely to guest needs and resolve complaints
  • recruit, hire, train, develop and retain kitchen staff
  • develop and manage annual kitchen budget and marketing plan
  • oversee kitchen safety, sanitation, security and emergency procedures
  • inspect kitchen areas, equipment, and inventory
  • lead kitchen services and ensure compliance with brand standards and regulations
  • maintain effective communication with staff and management
  • compile and analyze reports and perform special projects
