Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 10 years of previous high volume catering and culinary experience
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday with varying hours
  • ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Supervises, coordinates and participates in cooking and food preparation activities
  • ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • supervises hourly kitchen associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling and participating in reviews
  • efficiently prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet production and service schedules
  • ensures proper food presentation, quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • tracks food use, waste and consumption to requisition or purchase products
  • receives and inspects products and supplies for quality and quantity
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • helps select and develop recipes and menus
