Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Culinary certification preferred
  • Three years of supervisory experience in food service
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Ability to manage personnel effectively
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise preparation of all menu items for cafeteria, patient tray line, catering functions, and physician lounges
  • Train, orient, and schedule personnel for food production, sanitation, and safety
  • Monitor employee performance and retrain as needed
  • Manage personnel within the dietary department effectively
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate food service operations including therapeutic diets and safety standards
  • Demonstrate and enforce safe food handling techniques including proper labeling and temperature control
  • Coordinate acquisition of food items and supervise food preparation, storage, and distribution
