Job Duties

  • Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about cheese and other products
  • Gain and maintain product knowledge to assist customers and make suggestions
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
  • Inform customers about cheese specials
  • Train and coach associates to perform their duties effectively
  • Ensure customers receive fresh products with correct portion sizes
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Package, label, and inventory merchandise accurately
  • Check product quality and monitor sell-by dates
  • Maintain department merchandise stock and inventory
  • Report ordering and shipping discrepancies to management
  • Maintain positive attitude and assist in locating products
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming ads
  • Monitor inventory and stocking to note discrepancies
  • Follow all food safety regulations
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Inspect and report equipment maintenance needs
  • Notify management of accidents and illegal activities
  • Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
