Job Duties
- Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about cheese and other products
- Gain and maintain product knowledge to assist customers and make suggestions
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers about cheese specials
- Train and coach associates to perform their duties effectively
- Ensure customers receive fresh products with correct portion sizes
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Package, label, and inventory merchandise accurately
- Check product quality and monitor sell-by dates
- Maintain department merchandise stock and inventory
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies to management
- Maintain positive attitude and assist in locating products
- Stay updated on current and upcoming ads
- Monitor inventory and stocking to note discrepancies
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect and report equipment maintenance needs
- Notify management of accidents and illegal activities
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
