Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ability to work part-time during mid or closing shifts
- capable of standing for extended periods
- basic proficiency in operating register systems
- able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- willingness to comply with Walmart’s drug-free workplace policy
- availability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in retail or cashier roles beneficial
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to handle transactions with accuracy
- basic math skills for payment processing
- ability to stand for long periods
- positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Greet and thank customers politely at the front end
- operate cash registers to scan and ring up merchandise
- process payments accurately including cash, cards, and electronic transactions
- provide assistance and answer customer questions promptly and courteously
- maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- stand for extended periods while performing duties
- uphold Walmart’s policies including its drug-free workplace policy
