Job Requirements
- No education or experience requirements
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Must have vision capabilities including depth perception and color vision
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answers telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call
- Works as a team member to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Operates cash register accurately, scanning products and handling transactions including coupons, food stamps, WIC checks, credit-card charges and refunds
- Stocks, faces, rotates merchandise, cleans shelves, knows location of merchandise in the store and back room, and assists customers in locating items
- Maintains clean and organized register area, ensures adequate supplies are available, reports improper cash levels, and helps maintain store appearance
- Adheres to company guidelines including sanitation, personal hygiene and dress code
- Reports to work as scheduled and on time
- Assists store management with displays, decorations and promotions
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
