Job Requirements
- Commitment to night and weekend shifts
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- ability to operate cash registers and handle various payment methods
- physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- capacity to work in fast-paced retail environment
- visual acuity including depth perception and color vision
- adherence to company appearance and hygiene standards
- punctuality and reliability
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications

- basic math skills including arithmetic involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- assists customers by escorting them to products and loading heavy items
- operates cash register accurately and scans products
- redeems promotional coupons, food stamps, WIC checks, and completes credit card transactions
- places merchandise in bags or boxes and assists courtesy personnel
- answers customer questions and concerns
- ensures compliance with policies on tobacco, liquor, and lottery sales
- stocks, faces, and rotates merchandise
- communicates clearly using intercom or telephone
- maintains cleanliness and adequate supplies at register area
- compares register totals with currency amounts
- practices proper sanitation procedures
- adheres to company policies and guidelines
- reports to work on time
- assists in store displays and decorations
- knows code dates on perishables
- changes register tapes and ribbons
- performs other duties as required
