Job Requirements

  • Experience as a bartender required, preferably in a high-volume bar
  • Experience with computerized cash registers preferred
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible to work variable days of the week including weekends and holidays
  • Must be physically able to tolerate extreme temperatures such as freezers and kitchens
  • Must be able to work ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes
  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Take orders, prepare drinks according to recipes and serve all food and beverage requests in the bar
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu
  • Prepare the bar for service by ensuring bar supplies, garnishes, utensils are properly set up in accordance with quality standards
  • Inventory unused liquor and beverages and ensure all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit card policies and procedures and accurately ring all drink orders into the P.O.S system
  • Clean and reset bartop and tables immediately after guests depart
  • Complete all closing duties and reports as assigned
  • Secure all liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas
  • Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • Perform other duties or projects as requested by management
