Job Requirements
- Previous bartending experience or equivalent combination of education training or experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must obtain and maintain alcohol awareness card
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights holidays and weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol service
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to operate bar equipment and POS systems
Job Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience or any combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
- Knowledge of serving alcohol with care and menu products
- Superior knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in regard to alcohol service
- Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and to refill ice bins and beer bins utilize ice machines change kegs and transport empty kegs to designated areas
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral
- Ability of simple reading math writing and task completion skills
- Must have skills in compiling coordination following instructions influencing others memorization problem solving independent judgment and decision making
- Flexible working all shifts including holidays nights and weekends
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Alcohol Awareness Card
Job Duties
- Prepare and provide proper and professional beverage service to all guests and cocktail staff in a friendly courteous and timely manner
- Input and ring-up charges for guest’s orders using the POS system
- Create a check for each transaction and make and return any change as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times including removing empty glasses bottles cleaning ashtrays emptying garbage sweeping mopping floors scrubbing sanitizing equipment etc
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before after and during shift
- Refill chemicals hand soap containers etc
- Refill ice and beer bins utilizing ice making machines
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive clear speaking voice
- Answer questions and aid provide guest satisfaction
- Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation Hotel services directions to local attractions or function rooms car rentals airline shuttle service etc
- Make constant contact with both internal and external guests to provide optimal guest service
- Make recommendations to guests offer beverages with ordered meal
- Assist the management team with orders and inventory as needed
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
