Job Duties
- Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose
- Interacts with companies, their employees, and the community in a manner that exhibits character through personal and spiritual disciplines
- Makes brief visits to company worksites regularly to build relationships of trust and friendship
- Visits employees or immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, or other sites to provide care
- Provides confidential pastoral discussions for problem issues including family matters, illness, grief recovery, financial stress, and other personal issues
- Provides referrals and coordinates specialized assistance to employees and their immediate families
- Assists in funeral planning, conduct or attendance, including follow-up support during grief
- May make jail visits to employees and family members
- Works with companies to serve notifications of death and injuries to families and employees
- Provides post-termination care to support laid-off or terminated employees
- Facilitates spiritual enrichment activities as requested
- Provides literature and resources to support employee life issues
- Represents companies at ministry-related events
- Participates in new employee orientation to explain chaplain services
- Responds to additional duties as requested by executive leadership within agreed scope
