Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of dining host experience preferred
- Willing and able to work part-time hours Tuesday through Saturday evenings
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior dining host experience in a restaurant is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of reservation systems a plus
Job Duties
- Communicate with restaurant reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, and requests, conveying all necessary information to management
- Maintain knowledge of daily activities, in-house groups, house count, table assignments, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code
- Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant and manage the reservation book, keeping an accurate count of reservations
- Ensure menus are current and in good condition by replacing poor-quality menus and updating inserts as needed
- Relay guest needs to the kitchen and management, and inform management of guest feedback to ensure smooth operations and quality service
- Frequently check on guests waiting to be seated to provide reassurance that their tables are being prepared
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas, and handle the podium and phone forwarding at the end of shifts
