Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1000 hours of PIC preferred
- Minimum of ten years of aviation maintenance experience required
- Proficient in flying operations of CH47 aircraft
- Active Secret Clearance required with ability to maintain US Government Secret Clearance
- Completed military flight and applicable training courses IAW 95-20
- Satisfactorily completed proficiency check within previous 12 months
- Successfully complete initially and annually an Army or FAA Class II flight physical
- Possess instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates
- Possess current valid Army or FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course or equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20
- Successfully completed US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course Phase II or equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20
- Demonstrated proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability and professionalism
- Must have communication skills both oral and written
- Fluent in English
- Working knowledge for operating navigational and communication equipment installed on aircraft
- Capable of computing and annotating weight and balance logs

Job Duties
- Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency upon completion of aircraft maintenance or modifications
- Interpret meteorological data for filing flight plans
- File flight plans using authorized navigational processes
- Compute weight and balance logs for the aircraft
- Complete military flight and maintenance documentation
- Communicate, troubleshoot, and advise alongside military pilots and technicians
- Determine airworthiness of aircraft prior to release for flight
- Perform recovery and ferry flights
- Troubleshoot aircraft on ground and in flight and report deficiencies
- Run-up aircraft to test modifications
- Deploy to support contract requirements during anticipated maintenance test flights
- Perform as site safety specialist or safety officer functions
- Support AS9100-AS9110 audits and corrective actions
- Assist with continual improvement initiatives
- Perform Chief or Lead pilot duties as assigned
- Conduct aircraft technical inspections
- Inspect power plant hot and cold sections and accessories
- Provide technical guidance for maintenance and safety
- Maintain technical library and perform comprehensive system inspections
- Evaluate operational readiness and recommend corrective actions
- Inspect crash-damaged aircraft and estimate repair needs
- Evaluate maintenance operations for compliance
- Perform maintenance trend analysis and apply quality control principles
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
