Job Requirements
- United Aviate graduate
- Must be in good standing
- FAA CFI, CFII, MEI certification
- Medical Class 3
- Able to work full-time including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and United Aviate policies
- Commitment to safety and ethical standards
Job Qualifications
- United Aviate Pathway participation preferred but not required
- Extensive understanding of 14 CFR, FSIMS 8900, and other regulations pertaining to aviation
- FAA CFI, CFII, MEI certification required
- Medical Class 3 certification required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Aviation or Business Administration)
- Excellent listening, oral and written communications skills
- Customer service oriented
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and aviation scheduling systems
- Knowledge of Aviation regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Knowledge of United Airlines policies, procedures, and standards
- Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items
- Courage to make key decisions and advise leadership with professionalism and poise
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations
- Strong ability to use data and analytics to determine key decisions and identify actions for best results
- Build strong partnerships across business areas, operations, standards, safety, student services, and United Airlines
- Commitment to the company culture as a subsidiary of United Airlines and valuing the Core4
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, valuing compliance and ethical behavior, governance and controls, and adhering to company and financial policies
Job Duties
- Maintain student training records in accordance with 14 CFR Part 141 and United Aviate Academy policies
- Maintain training standard as set forth by FAA regulations United Aviate policies
- Ensure that course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by all assigned students as required by the Training Course Outline
- Report on student progress and accurately maintains and updates all appropriate records
- Recommend and develops curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate
- Maintain safe, caring, dependable and efficient culture with students, fellow instructors, and staff
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
- Must be able to work full-time, nights, weekends, and holiday schedules
