Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC certificate
- certification as an instructor and/or trainer in any fitness area by a nationally recognized organization
- certification in CPR/First Aid at the time of application or within six months hire date
- ability to maintain licensure and certifications as a condition of employment
- no prior experience required but experience instructing water fitness classes preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Instructing water fitness classes of roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour in duration per class at one or more Denver recreation center pools
- creating enthusiastic and energetic class environments while providing specific emphasis on safety and proper execution of movements
- keeping current on all certifications and industry practices
- maintaining attendance records for classes
- distributing and collecting class evaluations as requested
- answering participant questions and resolving issues, problems, and conflicts
- maintaining a clean and safe work area
- completing lesson plans
