Our Women's Shelter is a dedicated establishment committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for women facing homelessness and other vulnerabilities. The shelter specializes in trauma-informed care to ensure every client receives empathetic, respectful, and individualized support. Our team strives to empower women to regain control of their lives through comprehensive services including housing support, mental health resources, and community integration. As a well-established women's housing navigation shelter, we focus on rapid rehousing and transitional housing programs to assist clients in their journey toward permanent housing.

Job Requirements
- Must be a certified peer support worker through a recognized program
- personal history of overcoming mental health or substance use challenges
- experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in supportive housing
- understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- cultural competency
- excellent communication skills
- problem-solving skills
- organizational skills
- professional and confidential conduct
- proficiency with basic computer applications
- valid driver's license and local travel ability
Job Qualifications

- previous experience working with homeless or supportive housing populations

- ability to work effectively with diverse populations

- proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management software
- valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
Job Duties
- Linking clients to community resources and support groups
- educating and training clients on mental health and recovery topics
- conducting intake assessments and assisting with individualized housing plans
- fostering relationships with housing partners and landlords
- collaborating with the treatment team for holistic care
- assisting staff with interventions, referrals, and crisis stabilization
- monitoring team caseloads and ensuring timely service delivery
- ensuring staff adherence to documentation and eligibility requirements
- maintaining tracking tools, performance dashboards, and reporting logs
- preparing summaries, data reports, and success stories for leadership
- assisting with onboarding, training, and coaching new staff
- performing direct service work as needed to cover shifts
