Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to use mobile app technology for scheduling and communication
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with residents and team members
- Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
- Compliance with state-specific COVID-19 vaccination policies where applicable
Job Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology
- Ability to communicate with medical professionals as well as patients/residents and their family members
- High level of attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Implementing best practice nursing care in post-acute residents in nearby areas
- Monitoring the conditions of residents and providing updates to the nursing team
- Measuring and documenting the basic vital signs of residents
- Helping residents with grooming, feeding, toileting, and other basic activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Promoting a clean and safe environment by ensuring best practices in hygiene and by clearing areas of hazards
- Transporting residents around the facility and assisting them with other movements, as needed during the day
- Interacting with residents on a daily basis to keep them engaged, provide comfort, and build trusting relationships
- Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable rules, regulations, and policies
- Bridging communications between, and among, staff and residents (and their family members)
