Job Requirements
- high school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- 2 plus years of experience as a certified nurse assistant (CNA) in health care in homes or facilities
- successful completion of a State-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course
- completion of a Competency Evaluation meeting State licensing law for home health agencies
- sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and ability to deal effectively with job demands
- current CPR certificate recommended
- meets requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- valid driver's license and access to insured automobile for work or adequate transportation
Job Qualifications

- minimum 2 years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in health care settings

Job Duties
- assist patients with activities of daily living such as toileting, bathing, and grooming
- reinforce non-sterile dressings
- assist with mobility devices including canes, walkers, and wheelchairs
- help patients perform prescribed range of motion exercises
- measure and prepare special diets
- take vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- provide medication reminders
- assist with transportation to appointments and grocery shopping
- prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- offer companionship through activities like games and gardening
