Job Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Mississippi State Department of Health
CPR certification (Heartsaver or BLS) within 90 days of employment
ability to lift, reposition and transport patients and equipment using proper body mechanics
verbal and written communication skills
knowledge of medical terminology
proficiency in computer data entry
no prior experience required
ability to work full-time
willingness to work occasional extended hours and travel to offsite locations occasionally

Job Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Mississippi State Department of Health

knowledge of medical terminology
proficiency in use of personal computers and software applications
interpersonal and customer service skills
ability to handle emergency situations calmly

Job Duties

Perform all duties of a hospital tech including collection and recording of vital signs
assist with activities of daily living such as turning patients and linen changes
perform clerical tasks including scheduling appointments and arranging transportation for patients
collect and deliver specimens and supplies within acceptable time frames
clean and assemble equipment, charge supplies and report repair needs
perform venipuncture, blood glucose testing, and point of care testing according to procedures
operate computerized EKGs and provide copies for patient charts
assist RN with elimination needs including urinary catheter removal, enemas, and emptying bedpans and ostomies
operate sterilization equipment and perform sterilization on instruments including packaging
adhere to any additional duties as assigned by management
