Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in human services or health care preferred
  • Current Montana State Nurses Aide Certification or completion of SJU CNA course with certification within 120 days
  • Completion of Elder Sharath training
  • Completion of abuse training
  • Serve Safe food preparation training
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends
  • Compliance with annual TB testing and influenza vaccination policies
  • Attendance at mandatory in-service trainings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Certified nursing assistant or completion of SJU CNA Course with certification within 120 days
  • Completion of Elder Sharath training
  • Knowledge of abuse prevention training
  • Serve Safe certification in food preparation
  • Basic understanding of nutritional guidelines and household financial management
  • Good writing, verbal, and observational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with good judgment

Job Duties

  • Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with clothing needs including purchasing, laundering, and repair
  • Take and record vital signs accurately
  • Observe and report changes in residents' well-being
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform minor household maintenance
  • Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to nutritional guidelines and special diets
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Promote resident participation in meaningful daily activities
  • Adhere to safety rules and participate in safety trainings
  • Support the Eden Alternative philosophy and provide excellent customer service
  • Complete recordkeeping and order supplies as needed
