Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in human services or health care preferred
- Current Montana State Nurses Aide Certification or completion of SJU CNA course with certification within 120 days
- Completion of Elder Sharath training
- Completion of abuse training
- Serve Safe food preparation training
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends
- Compliance with annual TB testing and influenza vaccination policies
- Attendance at mandatory in-service trainings
Job Qualifications

- Certified nursing assistant or completion of SJU CNA Course with certification within 120 days
- Completion of Elder Sharath training
- Knowledge of abuse prevention training
- Serve Safe certification in food preparation
- Basic understanding of nutritional guidelines and household financial management
- Good writing, verbal, and observational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and solve problems with good judgment
Job Duties
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with clothing needs including purchasing, laundering, and repair
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Observe and report changes in residents' well-being
- Maintain cleanliness and perform minor household maintenance
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to nutritional guidelines and special diets
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with the care team
- Promote resident participation in meaningful daily activities
- Adhere to safety rules and participate in safety trainings
- Support the Eden Alternative philosophy and provide excellent customer service
- Complete recordkeeping and order supplies as needed
