Job Requirements

  • FAA commercial pilot certificate airplane single-engine land and instrument airplane
  • Current certified flight instructor certificate airplane single-engine land
  • Hold a current FAA first, second, or third class medical certificate
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
  • Must be insurable under Aims insurance
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment post-offer urine analysis
  • Ability to use company vehicle for business travel

Job Qualifications

  • FAA commercial pilot certificate airplane single-engine land and instrument airplane
  • Current certified flight instructor certificate airplane single-engine land
  • Hold a current FAA first, second, or third class medical certificate
  • Proven experience instructing students in flight training
  • Ability to maintain FAA proficiency and currency
  • Strong mentoring and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability under Aims insurance

Job Duties

  • Audit student records to ensure minimum flight times are met
  • Maintain currency and proficiency as required by the FAA
  • Ensure compliance and maintain records according to FAA regulations and advisory circulars
  • Provide one-on-one flight instruction in aircraft and flight simulators
  • Perform preflight briefings and post-flight debriefings
  • Authorize and supervise student solo flights including written endorsements
  • Evaluate and document student flight skills and assign grades
  • Serve as a mentor to students and new instructors
  • Assist with instructor interviews, training, and quality oversight
  • Participate in special event days and FAA meetings
