Job Requirements

FAA commercial pilot certificate airplane single-engine land and instrument airplane
Current certified flight instructor certificate airplane single-engine land
Hold a current FAA first, second, or third class medical certificate
Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
Must be insurable under Aims insurance
Must be able to pass a pre-employment post-offer urine analysis
Ability to use company vehicle for business travel

Job Qualifications

FAA commercial pilot certificate airplane single-engine land and instrument airplane
Current certified flight instructor certificate airplane single-engine land
Hold a current FAA first, second, or third class medical certificate
Proven experience instructing students in flight training
Ability to maintain FAA proficiency and currency
Strong mentoring and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and insurability under Aims insurance

Job Duties

Audit student records to ensure minimum flight times are met
Maintain currency and proficiency as required by the FAA
Ensure compliance and maintain records according to FAA regulations and advisory circulars
Provide one-on-one flight instruction in aircraft and flight simulators
Perform preflight briefings and post-flight debriefings
Authorize and supervise student solo flights including written endorsements
Evaluate and document student flight skills and assign grades
Serve as a mentor to students and new instructors
Assist with instructor interviews, training, and quality oversight
Participate in special event days and FAA meetings
