Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand walk for extended periods
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Exposure to heat wet slippery floors and healthcare facility conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) required
  • Serv-Safe Certification preferred
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in food service management healthcare preferred
  • Strong understanding of dietary regulations and care planning processes
  • Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage daily dining operations ensuring meal quality timeliness and sanitation
  • Supervise train and mentor kitchen staff create and maintain schedules
  • Prepare meals from scratch following standardized recipes
  • Conduct resident nutrition assessments process MDS dietary sections and update care plans
  • Monitor resident weights labs and food intake report concerns to the Dietitian
  • Maintain compliance with Indiana State Board of Health and federal dietary regulations
  • Attend care plan meetings food committee and resident council
  • Support inventory management and cost controls
