Job Requirements

  • Certified dietary manager credential
  • at least one year of experience in a long-term care dietary department preferred
  • ability to maintain required continuing education and licensure
  • physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Certified dietary manager credential
  • knowledge of nutrition and food safety regulations
  • leadership and team management skills
  • experience in dietary management within long-term care preferred
  • ability to use Point Click Care (PCC) software is a plus
  • strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee and participate in preparing nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary needs
  • manage dietary department budgets and food supplies
  • plan and assist with special holiday and event meals
  • hire, train, and supervise dietary staff to ensure quality food service
  • ensure kitchen safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations
  • collaborate with nursing and activities teams to align dietary services with resident needs
  • interact with residents to assess preferences and nutritional requirements
