Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as CDM, CFPP, or DTR or equivalent training from military or traditional education
- Prior supervisory experience in LTC, SNF, AL, or MC setting
- Certification in food safety as required by state regulations
- Passion for working with seniors
- Flexible and energetic personality
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP), or Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) certification or equivalent
- Prior dietary supervisory experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or memory care setting
- Certification in food safety as required by state regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality highly preferred
- Professional image in appearance and behavior
Job Duties
- Plan, direct, and supervise all dietary department functions
- Ensure provision of quality food service and nutrition care
- Comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Manage and train dietary personnel
- Develop nutritionally appropriate menus for residents
- Coordinate with healthcare staff regarding resident dietary needs
- Monitor food safety and sanitation practices
