Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to obtain certified registered central service technician certification within 12 months
- ability to work evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- capacity to work 40 hours per week with variable days and every other weekend
- compliance with drug-free workplace policies
- adherence to vaccination requirements for MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- certified registered central service technician within 12 months
- previous experience in central sterile processing preferred
- ability to follow detailed instructions and handle multiple tasks
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- effective communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Clean instrumentation and equipment according to regulatory guidelines and manufacturer instructions
- assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- prepare and distribute case carts for OR and clinical procedures
- enter instrument tracking data into databases prior to delivery
- monitor sterilization processes and maintain sterilization records
- utilize critical thinking to resolve issues related to instrumentation and patient safety
- comply with OSHA, CDC, FDA, AORN, and AAMI standards in all processing activities
