Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • willingness to obtain certified registered central service technician certification within 12 months
  • ability to work evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • capacity to work 40 hours per week with variable days and every other weekend
  • compliance with drug-free workplace policies
  • adherence to vaccination requirements for MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • certified registered central service technician within 12 months
  • previous experience in central sterile processing preferred
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and handle multiple tasks
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • effective communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Clean instrumentation and equipment according to regulatory guidelines and manufacturer instructions
  • assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
  • prepare and distribute case carts for OR and clinical procedures
  • enter instrument tracking data into databases prior to delivery
  • monitor sterilization processes and maintain sterilization records
  • utilize critical thinking to resolve issues related to instrumentation and patient safety
  • comply with OSHA, CDC, FDA, AORN, and AAMI standards in all processing activities
