Job Requirements

  • Majority of time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions
  • Responsible for total kitchen production in absence of Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Professional culinary degree or equivalent combination of culinary training and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to execute high volume production
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent culinary and food processing skills
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain efficient operation and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain efficient operation and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily job responsibilities for line cooks and prep cooks including Artisan Bread Makers, Cake Decorators, Pastry Specialists and Bakery Partners
  • Produce necessary products for Chef Case, Soup/Salad/Sandwich Bar, and Catering sections
  • Assist in scheduling all necessary partners to meet production requirements within budget guidelines
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area throughout kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas
  • Manage kitchen production in absence of Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
