- Typically requires 8 years experience
- expert knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment
- extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential
- strong customer service skills
- passion for food
- materials handling equipment certification
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in fast paced environment
- ability to work in extreme temperatures
- previous retail/restaurant experience required
Job Duties
- Serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues
- may assist in writing weekly Department schedule
- identify and address high priority activities first
- communicate clear expectations for assignments
- delegate responsibility to appropriate partners
- provide excellent customer service
- maintain operating effectiveness
- write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as needed
- ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
- maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control
- use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales
