Job Requirements

  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • be able to push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs
  • lift moderately heavy loads up to 50 lbs
  • bend, reach, kneel, twist, and squat
  • stand and walk for extended periods
  • attend external meetings and events as approved by general manager
  • travel on a limited basis as approved by general manager

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in project coordination
  • experience working with financials and budgets
  • familiarity with broadcast or print media is helpful
  • strong knowledge of sound equipment
  • advanced PC skills including MS applications and web-based programs
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to organize and write effectively for events
  • ability to maintain and repair sound equipment

Job Duties

  • Manages store event calendars
  • works with directors and department managers on store and community outreach initiatives
  • develops action plans for programs and events based on resource needs and budgets
  • collaborates on band budgets with general manager
  • sources local musicians and bands appropriate for the Central Market brand
  • posts music and events schedule on store website and social media
  • provides event information to art department for graphic advertisements
  • schedules and monitors sound engineers
  • ensures timely vendor payments through accounts payable forms
  • maintains and repairs sound equipment
  • attends events and represents Central Market at key functions
  • performs customer service duties such as greeting customers and assisting with event setup and breakdown
  • maintains good community relationships
