Job Requirements

  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience with multiple direct reports
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Excellent customer service and people leadership skills
  • Proficiency with reporting systems preferred
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to maintain safe and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Capacity to work flexible schedules including weekends

  • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
  • Experience in ordering
  • Inventory maintenance
  • Shrink control
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent people leadership skills
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems including inventory, food cost, scheduling, time and attendance, and labor preferred
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent culinary and food processing skills
  • Ability to maintain efficient operations and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation standards throughout work area
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including opening, closing, and weekend shifts
  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Use independent judgment in employment and business decisions
  • Manage operation and financial results of Chef's Case and Cafe on the Run
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel
  • Supervise and coordinate culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select, develop, and standardize recipes
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards
  • Plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance and safety
  • Maintain sanitation standards
  • Offer culinary instruction and demonstrations
  • Handle hiring, discipline, and performance management of kitchen staff
