Job Requirements

  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience with multiple direct reports
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with automated reporting systems preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Skilled in culinary and food processing
  • Experience in ordering and inventory maintenance
  • Ability to maintain equipment and ensure sanitation
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and varied shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems including Inventory, Food Cost, Scheduling, Time & Attendance, and labor preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent culinary and food processing skills
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Ability to maintain an efficient operation and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety practices

Job Duties

  • Use independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions
  • Manage the total operation and financial results of the Chef's Case and Cafe on the Run
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise all culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes and standardize production to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards
  • Plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Offer culinary instruction and demonstrate techniques
  • Supervise kitchen personnel including hiring, discipline, and performance management
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work areas including kitchen and storage areas
