Job Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems including inventory, food cost, scheduling, time and attendance, and labor management
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent culinary and food processing skills
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Ability to maintain efficient operations and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation standards throughout work areas
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Make employment-related and business decisions independently or recommend solutions
  • Manage total operation and financial results of the Chef's Case and Cafe on the Run
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel
  • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and manage requisition or purchasing of food
  • Develop, standardize, and price recipes and menus
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards in kitchen and storage areas
  • Provide culinary instruction and demonstrate techniques
  • Handle hiring, discipline, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff
